About Us

AAA Corporate Trustees is a Pan-African fiduciary, corporate, and tax advisory firm based in Kigali, Rwanda, serving investors, families, and corporates across Rwanda and the wider African region. We help organizations establish themselves properly and scale with confidence — offering fiduciary services, corporate structuring, and financial and tax advisory support.

As part of our Fractional CFO Services practice, we provide clients with bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, systems support, and tax compliance and advisory — giving them access to senior-level financial expertise without the cost of a full-time in-house finance team.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Accounting Associate to join our Fractional CFO Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh CPA graduate or CPA finalist to build a strong foundation in multi-client accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance. You will work closely with senior accountants and fractional CFOs, gaining hands-on exposure to a variety of industries and accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients

- Post and reconcile transactions, including bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports

- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses

- Maintain and update client accounts using cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)

- Support the preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, PAYE, corporate income tax, etc.) and ensure compliance with Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) statutory deadlines

- Assist with EBM (Electronic Billing Machine) invoicing and validation for client transactions

- Assist with tax advisory tasks, including research on Rwandan and regional tax regulations and client-specific queries

- Organize and maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all client engagements

- Coordinate with clients to gather financial data, clarify discrepancies, and respond to routine queries

- Support senior team members and fractional CFOs in ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects

- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- CPA certified or CPA finalist (actively pursuing certification)

- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior internship or articleship experience in accounting/audit is an advantage

- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/local GAAP) and basic tax regulations

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar) is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines

- High level of integrity, professionalism, and client-service orientation

- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, multi-client environment

What We Offer

- Hands-on exposure to a variety of industries and client accounting environments

- Mentorship from experienced accountants and fractional CFOs

- Structured learning path toward full CPA certification (if not yet completed)

- Opportunity for career growth within the fractional CFO services practice

- Collaborative and supportive team culture

How to Apply

Interested candidates who meet the above qualifications are invited to submit their CV and a copy of their CPA certificate (or proof of exam standing, if a finalist) to info@aaatrustees.rw

AAA Corporate Trustees is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
