Role Description The Business Intelligence Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kigali, responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the airline. This role oversees the development of dashboards, reports, and analytics models for key business areas such as revenue management, operations, customer experience, finance, and commercial performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications, managing data integration and quality, and coordinating with IT and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely insights. The Business Intelligence Manager will guide a team of analysts, establish BI standards and best practices, and provide regular performance and trend analyses to senior management. The role also involves monitoring industry benchmarks, identifying opportunities for efficiency and growth, and supporting strategic initiatives through robust data analysis.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience in data modeling, statistical analysis, and performance measurement.
• Candidates should possess technical skills in business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), SQL, and data warehousing concepts.
• Candidates should possess skills in data governance, data quality management, and ETL processes to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
• Candidates should possess leadership and project management skills, including team supervision, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
• Candidates should possess strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant experience in aviation, transportation, or another data-intensive industry is beneficial, along with familiarity with commercial and operational airline metrics.
• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree or professional certifications in BI or analytics are an advantage.
