Role Description The Country Manager/Director will report to the CEO and lead and manage e7 Group’s operations in Rwanda, ensuring effective market entry, sustainable growth and strong local partnerships. This full-time, on-site role based in Kigali includes developing and executing country-level business strategies, overseeing sales and business development activities, and managing key customer relationships across the company’s business segments. The role involves leading and mentoring the local team, setting performance targets and ensuring operational and financial objectives are met. The Country Manager/Director will coordinate closely with regional and corporate stakeholders, oversee compliance with local regulations and represent e7 Group with government bodies, strategic partners and industry organizations. Daily responsibilities include monitoring market trends, preparing performance reports, managing budgets and forecasts and driving continuous improvement in service delivery and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in country leadership, general management, or senior commercial roles, ideally within identity solutions, printing, packaging, logistics or related sectors.
- Strong business development, sales and account management skills, with a track record of building and growing relationships with government, enterprise and financial institution clients.
- Solid operational and financial management capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L oversight, and performance monitoring.
- Leadership and people management skills, including team building, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to represent the company with external partners and authorities.
- Familiarity with regional markets and regulatory environments; experience working in Rwanda or East Africa is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and focus on customer-centric solutions and innovation.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or local languages is beneficial.
