We’re seeking a Country Operations & Business Development Leader to drive pipeline and revenue growth by planning and executing regionally aligned marketing programs that support sales objectives. This role acts as the bridge between sales, marketing, and partners—translating corporate messaging into high‑impact, localized campaigns that accelerate demand, engagement, and conversion.

As the Country Operations & Business Development Leader – Rwanda, you will spearhead our entry and growth in the Rwandan market. This is a country leadership role (akin to a Country Manager or Country Lead) that blends market development, partnership building, and operational oversight. If you’re skilled at opening doors with government and enterprise partners, building a business from the ground up, and driving sustainable growth, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a localized growth strategy for Rwanda, aligning with our global vision.
  • Partnerships & Business Development: Build and nurture strong relationships with government agencies, enterprise clients, and key stakeholders. Identify and drive new business opportunities and partnerships to accelerate market entry and expansion.
  • Operational Leadership: Establish and scale our local operations (site setup, hiring, processes) to support business growth. Ensure alignment of local execution with overall company capabilities and standards.
  • Market Expansion: Serve as the face of TeKnowledge in Rwanda. Represent the company at key industry events and with local partners. Collaborate internally to prepare for potential expansion into neighboring East African markets as success is achieved.


Qualifications:

  • Leadership & Sales Experience: 5+ years in sales, business development, or partnerships (including 3+ years in a leadership role). You have a track record of driving growth and leading teams or initiatives.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of doing business in Rwanda or similar emerging markets (Africa experience highly preferred). Established local networks and credibility with senior stakeholders are a strong advantage.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to engage and influence C-level executives, government officials, and other high-level partners. You excel at building trust-based, long-term relationships.
  • Strategic & Hands-On Skills: Sharp commercial acumen (opportunity identification, deal development, partnership strategy) combined with a willingness to be hands-on in execution. Experience setting up or scaling operations is a plus.
  • Domain Familiarity: Exposure to skilling (education/training) programs or cybersecurity solutions is beneficial. (Knowledge of AI, customer experience, or digital transformation services is a bonus.)
  • Language: Fluent in English (excellent written and verbal communication).
