Job descriptions & requirements

Company Description Kayko is building the financial operating system for Africa’s growing businesses. Our unified platform helps businesses manage sales, inventory, accounting, payroll, customer relationships, and payments—all in one place. By turning everyday business activity into reliable financial records and actionable insights, Kayko helps entrepreneurs make better decisions, improve performance, and build a trusted financial identity. This enables banks and other financial institutions to understand businesses more accurately and provide the capital they need to grow. Our goal is to close the gap between running a business and accessing finance by connecting operations, money, and capital through one platform.

Role Description The Enterprise Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kigali, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. As Kayko’s first dedicated enterprise sales leader, the Enterprise Sales Manager will drive the acquisition of mid-sized and large businesses and help shape the company’s go-to-market strategy as it expands across East Africa. The role involves identifying and engaging enterprise prospects, consulting with business owners, CFOs, and senior executives to understand their workflows, and mapping Kayko’s platform capabilities to their needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering product demonstrations, managing the complete sales cycle from qualification through negotiation and closing, maintaining accurate forecasts, and reporting pipeline performance. The Enterprise Sales Manager will also build trusted client relationships, ensure smooth handovers to onboarding and customer success, and work closely with the Founders to refine sales playbooks, pricing, and market positioning based on field feedback.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of demonstrated success in B2B enterprise sales, account management, or business development.
  • Experience selling SaaS, business software, banking products, or financial services is highly preferred.
  • Proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Strong prospecting, lead-generation, consultative-selling, negotiation, and deal-closing skills.
  • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage business owners, CFOs, and C-suite executives.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, maintaining accurate forecasts, tracking opportunity metrics, and reporting performance.
  • Professional fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is required; French is a strong advantage.
  • High degree of autonomy, self-motivation, and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Kigali.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to become a founding member of Kayko’s commercial team and directly influence the company’s growth.
  • Close collaboration with the CEO and co-founders in a high-visibility role.
  • A competitive base salary with an attractive, uncapped performance-based commission structure.
  • Significant opportunities for rapid career growth as Kayko expands across East Africa.
