Role Description

Rwanda Forestry Authority is seeking a dedicated professional for an on-site, full-time Environment role located in Kigali. The responsibilities include developing and implementing environmental health and safety (EHS) policies, ensuring compliance with occupational health and environmental regulations, conducting risk assessments, promoting environmental awareness, and providing training sessions on safety and environmental best practices. The role supports the organization’s mission of fostering sustainable environmental management and safety within forestry projects and operations.
Qualifications

• Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety practices
• Strong knowledge of Environmental Awareness and Occupational Health principles
• Experience in delivering effective Training on health, safety, and environmental protocols
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Relevant educational background, preferably in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related fields
• Familiarity with Rwanda’s environmental and occupational safety regulations is a strong asset
• Previous experience in forestry or environmental conservation projects is advantageous
