EVPulsar is building the charging infrastructure needed to support the rapid electrification of transport across East Africa. The company focuses on developing accessible, reliable charging facilities that make everyday travel smoother for EV users. By tackling a critical piece of the clean mobility ecosystem, EVPulsar aims to remove barriers to EV adoption and enhance regional connectivity. We are currently preparing for our next stage of growth and are looking for a highly ambitious finance/investment professional who wants to join us early and help build the financial foundation of the company.
This is an equity-based early-stage role. The selected person will receive an equity package and will have the opportunity to grow into a senior finance leadership position as EV Pulsar scales.
You will work directly with the CEO and take an active role in:
- Building and maintaining EV Pulsar's financial model
- Developing site-level unit economics and investment cases
- Preparing investor presentations and financial materials
- Researching and identifying investors, funds and financing opportunities
- Managing the investor pipeline and follow-ups
- Supporting grant and financing applications
- Preparing financial reports and investor updates
- Building financial forecasts, cash-flow models and budgets
- Supporting project-finance and infrastructure-financing structures
- Preparing the company's investor data room
- Conducting market and financial research
- Helping develop the company's long-term capital strategy
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone who is:
- A recent graduate or early-career professional in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Investment, Business, Mathematics or a related field
- Strong in Excel and financial modelling
- Interested in investment, venture capital, infrastructure finance or climate finance
- Highly analytical and comfortable working with numbers
- A strong researcher and communicator
- Able to write professional investor-facing materials
- Entrepreneurial and willing to take ownership
- Comfortable working in an early-stage environment where you will build systems from the ground up
- Interested in electric mobility, energy, infrastructure and Africa's industrial development
CFA, FMVA, CPA or other relevant qualifications are a plus, but not required.
