Marketing Manager

We are looking for a hands-on, ambitious marketing specialist to join Yango as a Local Marketing Manager in Rwanda. This is not a strategy-only role — you will be the owner of execution: running campaigns, organizing events, building partnerships, and making sure Yango’s brand is loud, relevant, and culturally on point in your market.

The right candidate is disciplined, proactive, and curious — someone who wants to learn fast, try new things, and grow into one of the strongest marketers in their country. You’ll work side by side with our HQ team, but you’ll be the face of Yango locally, managing agencies, partners, and ambassadors to bring big ideas to life.

Responsibilities:

• Drive marketing execution in Rwanda: from briefs and tasks to final delivery.
• Lead and localize Yango’s communications across social media, CRM, offline activations, and performance channels.
• Organize events and activations for drivers and passengers, ensuring flawless execution.
• Represent Yango in partnerships with telecoms, banks, restaurants, influencers, and event organizers.
• Report results, competitor activity, and local insights back to HQ in a clear and structured way.
• Administer contracts, budgets, and promo codes with accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• ~3 years of relevant marketing experience (agency, digital, events, or social media).
• Strong project management and organizational skills — able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders at once.
• Proven experience running or curating social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp), events, partnerships with measurable results.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and the local language; confident representing an international brand.
• Energetic, proactive, and resilient: comfortable with fast pace, abstract tasks, and constant learning.
