The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) is hiring a Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance and efficient operation of its facilities and mechanical systems. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment such as HVAC systems, air conditioners, ventilation systems, exhaust fans, water heaters, heat pumps, and automated gates and doors. The successful candidate will support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure RSSB facilities remain safe, reliable, and efficient.
Key responsibilities include installing and maintaining mechanical equipment, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, interpreting technical drawings, conducting inspections, documenting maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
Candidates should have a Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Domestic Mechanics, or a related field, with 1–5 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems maintenance is required, while basic electrical knowledge is considered an added advantage.
