Role Description The Owner at DSP GIFT City will provide strategic leadership, set long-term business objectives, and guide the overall vision and growth of the entity. This full-time, on-site role in Kigali involves overseeing key business functions, including investment strategy, operations, risk management, and stakeholder relationships. The Owner will monitor performance metrics, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and maintain high standards of governance and compliance. Responsibilities include nurturing partnerships with regulators, institutional clients, and service providers, while identifying new market opportunities and expanding the firm’s presence in global and India-focused investment segments. The role also entails leading senior teams, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability, and ensuring that processes and resources support sustainable, long-term business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services, with a track record of driving strategic growth and operational excellence.
• Deep understanding of global markets, cross-border investing, and India-focused investment strategies, preferably with exposure to IFSC or similar international financial hubs.
• Proven experience in governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management within a regulated financial environment.
• Advanced analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex investment and business scenarios.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging effectively with regulators, institutional investors, and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, diverse teams and foster a culture aligned with integrity and long-term value creation.
• Relevant advanced degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CFA or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Kigali and collaborate across geographies and time zones.
