Role Description

The Marketing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kigali, responsible for increasing Ibiciro’s brand awareness, user growth, and market presence. The role involves developing and executing marketing campaigns to attract farmers, traders, buyers, businesses, and other users to the Ibiciro platform.

Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and managing social media content, running digital marketing campaigns, identifying target audiences, promoting Ibiciro’s marketplace and services, monitoring campaign performance, and developing strategies to increase user engagement and acquisition.

The Marketing Specialist will also conduct market research, identify new marketing opportunities, collaborate with the sales and product teams, support promotional events, and help develop creative campaigns that communicate Ibiciro’s value to customers. The role requires someone who can combine creativity with data-driven decision-making and consistently find new ways to grow the platform.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and creative content development skills.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, social media marketing, and online advertising.
  • Ability to create engaging marketing campaigns and promotional content.
  • Understanding of customer acquisition, brand awareness, and user growth strategies.
  • Ability to conduct market research and identify customer needs and trends.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing analytics and campaign performance tracking.
  • Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or similar marketing tools is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • A diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is advantageous, but equivalent practical experience is also considered.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kigali and collaborate effectively with the wider Ibiciro team.
