Site Civil Engineer

We are looking for a qualified and motivated Civil Site Engineer to join the New Kigali International Airport Project.

This is a position open to Rwandan nationals only.

Key Responsibilities

The Civil Site Engineer will:

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities on site.

• Ensure that work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

• Monitor subcontractors, labour, equipment, and construction materials.

• Conduct site inspections and identify technical or operational issues.

• Prepare daily progress reports, site records, and quantity updates.

• Coordinate with the Project Engineer, General Foreman, QA/QC, HSE, and other project teams.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

• Support the resolution of technical issues and report construction risks or delays.

Minimum Requirements

🎓 Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

💼 Experience:

Minimum of three years of relevant experience in civil construction, infrastructure, airport, road, building, or large-scale construction projects.

Required Competencies

• Good understanding of civil construction methods and site operations.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Strong site supervision, coordination, and reporting skills.

• Knowledge of quality and safety requirements.

• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced project environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.

• Fluency in English; knowledge of Kinyarwanda is highly desirable.
