Transportation Manager-rwanda

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily transport operations and fleet management activities.
2. Ensure timely and efficient vehicle dispatch and delivery operations.
3. Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, and repair activities.
4. Manage fuel consumption, transport costs, and operational efficiency.
5. Ensure compliance with Rwanda transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
6. Supervise drivers and transport staff, including attendance, discipline, and performance management.
7. Track vehicle movements and prepare transport performance reports.
8. Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth logistics flow.
9. Conduct driver training on safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
10. Handle transport-related emergencies, incidents, and customer complaints professionally.
11. Ensure proper documentation for vehicles, insurance, licenses, and permits.
12. Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transport or fleet management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of fleet tracking systems and transport reporting.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
